I once read somewhere, that if two friends have a friendship that last longer then ten years, they’ll be friends for life. I have no idea if that is true, but in my case with my friend.. my best friend, Camissa we’ve been friends for well over ten years. Friendship is a great thing to have, now even though I’ll talk about my best friend in this post, I have many other friends that I hold dear. They each hold something dear in my life and I’m very grateful to have met them, know them, and have fun times with them. Of course, sometimes friendships sadly fade away, it hurts, really hurts, but one must move on in life. Another great thing about friendships.. You get to make new ones! I simply cannot express into words how thankful I am right now, in my life to have gotten to know some amazing people!
It all started with youth group, Rachelle’s bible study and Clone High. Those three things, started off this friendship. Who would have thought that having a conversation about a cartoon that lasted maybe a month on MTV would end up being a friendship still holding true today. Amazingly enough, we still have the most weirdest conversations. That is okay, it’s what makes our time together fun! When Camissa and her husband moved to DC a few years back, we thought it was cute and funny how other people around us asked if we would be okay living so far away from each other. People were seriously concerned, I took it all in stride and told everyone that it’d be okay. It was, it really was… Facebook does come in handy sometimes. They did move back, so of course nothing changed and we hang out when we can and do what we do best… We like to have a good time, all the time. That even includes the time I not only once but twice adjusted her passenger seat and laid it all the way back, it was still surprising the second time. That one time, I met Mat Kearney and then proceeded to ask her, “who was that?” She, ever being polite simply responded, “he’s the guy we came to see perform.” I’ve gotten her to watch Sherlock, which she likes and Doctor Who, which she is watching… one episode at a time… Baby steps. Lastly, the ski trip from hell, in which caused me having knee surgery and her to take five hours to go down the green slope. Okay, it wasn’t five hours… But I’m pretty sure it felt like it.
Obviously, had to keep the challenge going, so I took some current photos of us… And you know how we be, showing off our Shocker pride!
You’re the best, friend!
Since I’m about two or three days behind, I will now move to the next challenge on the list, and since I had a willing helper.. Or actually she was there and I took the opportunity, I took more of her… hands.
Yeah… It was after the Shocker game and we have every right to show off that 25-0! BOOM!
Showing off them hands… What a model of hands!
Showing off that sexy Benson paw!
Thought I’d join in and show off my hand.. The scar, which I thought was due to a janky chain that held up the swing, turned out to be wrong. Well, at least that’s what my mom says.. Maybe I was probed by aliens.
The end this post, I will now show you my junk… all that junk… all that junk in dat drawer..
Title (in order): Friendship. Hands. Inside your junk drawer.
